Very inexpensive and simple product does the job

I used the product to empty a hot water tank and it did the job very efficiently with no problems. Can''t beat the price.

Drill Pump Woes
By from Springdale, AR, USA on Sep 25, 2015
I bought the first one and it lasted for 2 days. There is a flaw in the housing that causes it to leak and also has a cracked plate that covers the impeller. I brought that one back and swapped for another one. This one lasted for a couple of days as well. It failed due to the shaft stripped in the impeller and would not pump any longer. I brought that one back and upgraded to an electrical pump and have not had any other trouble.

Does not work.
By from Orchard Park on Dec 02, 2014
Tried to pump out a bathroom toilet in order to change the wax ring. (There was nothing in the water!) The thing simply does not work. I''m pretty handy. I tried filling the intake hose, thinking this would ''prime'' the pump, but no luck. I also checked to make sure the drill was set to "forward" and not "reverse". I noticed one reviewer used it to get a siphon going, and it worked. Maybe the trick is to have the pump lower than the fluid source. That would be a BIG limitation.

Great time saver

I used this to drain a waterbed. Easy as can be. Recommend using a corded drill as my cordless just wasn''t strong enough to really pump the water. No problems at all.

Absolutely awful
By from Utah on Jun 09, 2014
This product is the kind of junk that appears in hardware stores now. I used it once, and it broke. After opening up the housing, I discovered that the rubber "fins" that actually do the pumping had simply snapped off. After one use. When returning it, I recommended to the service counter that they pull the rest of these off the''s that bad. Suffice it to say that they have no problem continuing to sell it.

Good little pump.
By from Concord, NC, USA on Apr 16, 2013
I had a water leak in the yard and had to dig a hole about 3 feet deep to find the line. The hole filled up with water from the ground around it. All said, the hole was 3'' wide x 6'' long x 3'' deep. This little pump got rid of the water in about 45 minutes. Just make sure to prime it and fill the intake hose with water and you should have no problems. I had a 5/8" x 50'' hose on the intake side.

Needs to be primed. Overheats and melts. Easier to use a bucket than this product.
