Not crazy about this stove. The outside gets really hot.
By from Barrie on May 12, 2016
I''ve had this stove for about 6 months. It looks a while to learn how to cook on it. The burners cook really hot so you have to learn to use a lower setting. The oven is the opposite. It takes a long time to cook something. I just turn up the temperature manually now. The biggest concern is the heat coming from the oven. When the oven is on, the top of the stove is hot to the touch. It also heats the whole kitchen up. I''m guessing there is not much insulation in the oven. I''m concerned about using the Self -clean feature. If the stove gets that hot just cooking at 350-400, how is going to be when you have it cranked up for self clean? If you have kids or animals, they could get burnt. I think I just paid for a self clean oven that I will probably never use for fear of a fire.

Horrible unit. Even worse customer service.

Do not buy this unit. The oven part has a major design flaw and does not cook food properly. Anything that gets baked is cooked up top and raw in the middle. LG has sent out 2 technicians and both times could not find a problem with the unit but acknowledged that it was not cooking food properly. Obviously a design flaw. We have wasted hundreds of dollars on food.
After 3 months of getting the run around including escalating the case at LG and making numerous calls we just decided to give up and purchase something else. This will be our last LG product purchase ever. Horrible customer service.
Buyer beware.

Loving it...

Only had this stove a couple of days but loving it already. Using it is miles ahead of our old coil-top range. Well built and attractive looking and the oven really is huge. Especially like the controls for the top burner elements; no more knobs!
Service and in-store-pickup from Lowes was hassle free, plus they lived up to their price match program which resulted in a very good price. Very satisfied with both Lowes and LG.

I really like the style and the functionalities of this range. It's big and the convection bake option does a marvelous job on cakes and muffins (crispy top and moist inside). very easy to clean in and out. Got it for a great price too:)

LG Range #LRE6383ST
By from Niagara - Lincoln County on Jan 12, 2015
I purchased this in White. Of course that really doesn't matter. I've also had it only five days, so have not cooked a lot as of yet. However, so far I really like it.
This is my first ceramic top. I've had the electric coil & gas cooktops previously. Boiling water does take a little bit longer and the element stays hot longer once the element is shut off.
DO BUY CONVECTION OVEN even if it it costs a little more. It's worth the investment. DO decrease your cooking time! My biscuits turned out lovely - the bottom & tops were equally browned. So far, I'm very happy with baking.
The oven is absolutely humongous. I could cook an apple pie and a turkey at the same time. Definitely a double oven all in one.
DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR OLD BROILER PAN. This oven does NOT come with a broiler pan.
It comes with some cleaning tools - a spray bottle, a plastic spatula, a sponge, & a scouring pad for oven cleaning.
You will need to purchase a metal scraper (razor blade type) and cleaning cream for the cooktop because for some reason LG decided to save a couple of dollars by omitting these items.
Had LG not scrimped on the broiler pan and given samples for the ceramic cooktop I'd of rated this range at a 5 plus plus plus.
The price tag was also very very favourable. I even got $100 more discounted price than the current $500 savings. (Maybe the extra discount was given because of no broiler pan and no cooktop cleaning samples????).
So far, I definitely would recommend this range.
