The program
“Well Made Here” is a non-profit organization which aims to encourage the purchase of quality building materials and other items made in Canada for the residential market.
There are high-quality products made in Canada for every DIY, home improvement, or residential construction project. We can all be proud and support our manufacturers by getting all the information on accredited hardware and building materials, choosing "Well Made Here" products, or collaborating with professionals who encourage local purchasing.
A highly strict product selection
"Well Made Here" products must meet the following criteria:
- Manufactured by Canadian companies from anywhere in the country
- Offered in hardware stores and home improvement centres across Canada
- Compliant with regulations, standards, and building codes in effect
- No less than 51% of the fees regarding the final transformation must have been incurred in the country
PRODUCTS LABELLED "WELL MADE HERE" ARE EASY TO FIND
With the filter "Well Made Here Products" or by looking for the [Well Made Here logo] logo.
Participants brands
The "Well Made Here" program started in 2019 and people keep joining every year. There are more than 100 manufacturers who provide over 6,000 accredited products to hardware networks across the country. Of this number, (qty) also are (banner) suppliers.
