Appliances that are eligible for a Lowe's Protection Plan include but aren't limited to cooktops, dishwashers, dryers, freezers, over-the-range microwaves, ranges, refrigerators, trash compactors, and washing machines.
While a manufacturer's warranty typically provides parts and labour protection for one year on these major appliances, a Lowe's Protection Plan offers coverage for an additional two or four years.
Lowe's Appliance plans start after manufacturer's parts-and-labour warranty ends.
- Credit for food spoilage from the date of plan purchase for frozen foods up to $125 to a max of $250 (duration of plan) or standalone freezer $250 on failure to a max of $500.
- Replacement under the "no lemon" policy, if appliance requires a fourth repair for the same major failure.
- Broken knob replacement where it prevents the unit from functioning.
- Repair for damages caused by thermal stress on glass ceramic cooktops.*
*Preventative inspection required
Good to Know:
Typically, manufacturers provide parts and labour protection on qualified appliance repairs up to one year. With a Lowe's two- or four-year plan, you'll get more coverage for a longer period of time.
If you decide to sell the appliance or are purchasing it as a gift for someone else, the new owner can benefit from the coverage too!
