A few weeks ago, I shared our plans for our laundry room and kitchen tile home reno and I am so excited to share an even bigger reveal! What started as a much-needed upgrade to our kitchen and laundry room floor, ended up with us adding a ton of value to our home. I’m positive that if you have done any home renovations before, you completely understand that ripple effect that naturally happens in doing so.

After seeing our hesitation to have our kitchen and laundry floor budget increase dramatically, the lovely Lowe’s Kitchen Specialist suggested the Nimble Cabinet Collection by Diamond available exclusively at Lowe’s. There was an identical style of cabinets for a third of the price that we could take home that day! The only catch? We would need to paint them to match ours, but with the opportunity to save thousands of dollars, we were sold!

- 2x Nimble 30-in x 30-in White 2-Drawer Chest Base
- 2x Nimble 30-in x 14-in White Wall Box
- 2x Nimble 12-in x 30-in White Standing Base
- 2x Nimble 30-in x 30-in Sea Salt Wall Cabinet Door Fronts
- 2x Nimble 12-in x 30-in Sea Salt Standing Base Drawer and Door Front
- 2x Nimble 96-in Sea Salt Toekick
- 4x Nimble Sea Salt Wall End Panel
- 2x Nimble 30-in x 30-in Sea Salt 2-Drawer Chest Drawer Fronts
- 2x Nimble 30-in x 14-in Sea Salt Wall Cabinet Door Fronts
- 2x Nimble Sea Salt Base End Panel
We went with the Nimble Sea Salt Collection and paired it with Valspar Ultra Kitchen & Bath Paint and Primer with no tint. The base cabinets and wall boxes were already white, so we only needed to paint the door fronts and side panels, which my husband and I knocked out after a few evenings of lining them up in the dining room. To get the look we wanted, we did 4 coats of paint which only used 1 gallon of the entire container!
After they were dry, it was time for installation! My husband, dad and I were able to install all the cabinets in a few hours thanks to the quick, easy and agile installation. But if you’re not interested in a DIY, Lowe’s offers installation services, too.

After all is said and done, I am so glad I worked with Lowe’s Canada on our project. Without tons of online resources like (floor buying guides and inspirational articles) as well as in-store kitchen specialists at Lowe’s, we would have been lost! Lowe’s Canada has thousands of products covering every area of home improvement from the top brands you know and trust, so it’s no wonder it has become our home’s one-stop shop for all of the projects to come. My only issue? Deciding on what's next!
