A Bedroom Closet Refresh On a Budget

This post is sponsored by Lowe’s Canada, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

When we moved into this house five years ago the master bedroom closet was high on my to-do list, but somehow it fell to the bottom of the list once we started tackling a ton of other home projects. When Lowe’s Canada challenged me to reorganize a space for $500 or less I knew exactly where to look. Our master bedroom closet was in major need of a refresh and it was finally its turn to get a facelift.

We went shopping at our local Lowe’s Canada and quickly found the perfect option for our closet space. We went with the ClosetMaid Suite Symphony Pure White Shaker Closet System because of how customizable it was. We have a 7-foot closet and this exact system fits any 6-foot by 9-foot wide closet. We loved that you could add in different accessories so we went with three 16” deep shaker drawers and three of the Pure White Top Shelves for additional storage.

While at Lowe’s Canada I decided to check out a few other isles to see what accessories I could find for the closet. I found the most beautiful contemporary cabinet pulls in polished bronze and swapped them out on the deep shaker drawers. It was such an easy, but dramatic change and I love how high-end they made the cabinets look.

I then swung by the lighting department in Lowe’s and found a Good Earth Rechargeable LED closet light that’s motion activated. Since we didn’t have a light in our closet I didn’t know if I’d have any options but to my surprise I found this light which was a super quick and efficient alternative and because its motion activated it’s the perfect solution for a closet!

It was so much fun working with Lowe’s Canada on this project. It took no longer than a day for us to get everything installed, then of course I felt the urge to purge and donate the clothes we no longer needed. Plus organize and put everything back neatly (for now anyways)! The closet has added so much more function and organization to the bedroom. Who else loves the feeling of a freshly organized space? Now I’m ready to tackle all of the projects I’ve been putting off, and I’ll be starting with another trip to Lowe’s!
