Types of Countertop Bathroom Sinks

Farmhouse & Apron

The farmhouse or apron sink is a unique option for your bathroom with deeper and wider basins that feature a “lip” over the front of the countertop.

Undermount

Undermount sinks are installed under the countertop. There is no rim between the countertop and sink, giving the vanity a sleek and seamless finish.

Drop-In

Drop-in sinks feature a rim that rests on top of the vanity counter. Faucets can be installed directly along the back rim of the sink. During installation, these sinks are “dropped-in” to the vanity countertop.

Vessel sinks sit directly on top of the counter. Sometimes referred to as a “bowl sink,” vessel sinks come in varying shapes and sizes. With these types of sinks, faucets must be installed directly into the vanity countertop or in the adjacent wall.

Pedestal

Another simple bathroom sink, wall mount sinks are all sink with no vanity. Installed directly to the wall, these sinks usually have plumbing exposed.  Wall mount sinks are perfect for small bathrooms.

  • Centre Set: This type of faucet is made for three-hole installation basins. Centre Set faucets combine the spout and valves on a single base unit. 
  • Vessel: These faucets are for vessel sinks. They are installed directly in the countertop or on the wall and sit just above the sink.
