To make a centerpiece set, tape off sections of empty paint cans (#27318, #60689) and apply paint. (We used Valspar Signature Paint in Tempered Allspice, #2006-9C, and Desert Fortress, #2008-10B.) Let dry thoroughly between coats.
Make napkin rings with mini paint rollers and jute twine. Place a roller on the middle of a 36-inch piece of twine, wrap the twine around the roller, and thread a vintage button before tying a knot at the back.
Coming up with party favors can be super easy. Simply wrap jute twine around the center of a glass votive and hot-glue it in place. Then slip a sprig of berries under the twine and fill the jar with candy or nuts.
Make nameplates for place settings with white hang tags, jute, and painted clothespins. For an antique look, wash your painted pins with a coat of water-based primer. Clip two clothespins to a tag tied with a small length of jute. Set upright on the table.
Create a unique table runner with a drop cloth and grommets. Cut the cloth to length and stitch up the edges. Add grommets near each place setting (follow the directions on the grommet kit). Add a small twig or fresh-cut flower to each set.
