Lowe's recently opened in my town and was my first choice for employment. Lowe's showed a lot of RESPECT me, and decided to give me an opportunity.
I was hired as a peak employee and then the REWARD came not too far after with compliments from all levels of management and from my co-workers. An opening in the Millwork Department gave me a chance that really showcased my skills as an experienced installer of windows, doors and siding and helped me provide solutions to my customers and build relationships. Lowe's is an excellent company that values its employees.
To finalize, I truly enjoy working for this great company that I call my second family.
I have been the APSM in Western Canada for 2 years now and I couldn't be happier in my role and even more so for the great company that I work for. Lowe's treats their customers like friends and their associates like family. I have never been part of a company that truly supports their employees in customer focused training, higher education and career growth. Lowe's is truly a family of people whom support each other in all areas of the business and strive for success each and every day. My role allows me to spend time with many of our associates in the stores assisting them; training them and watching them grow. It's a rewarding experience every time I step in the door. I have been with Lowe's for 7 years, and this journey has been a great experience. I started off as a Team Leader of Customer Service, and then advanced to Department Manager of Customer Service. From there I became the Department Manager of Administration, Department Manager of receiving and from there to my biggest challenge so far the Department Manager of Installs. I have recently taken a new opportunity of Assistant Store Manager of Administration. I am looking forward to this new journey and to continue growing as a leader. Learning and developing has been and will continue to be my greatest opportunity with Lowe's.
