Additional Features That Make Mowing Your Lawn Less of a Chore

3 in 1 Ability

Easily switch between:

  • Collect and bag your grass clippings making cleanup a snap
  • Finely mulch your clippings into small pieces allowing them to improve the quality of the soil and grass (recommended), or
  • Side discharge clippings and leave them on your lawn.

Easy Cleanup with a Hose Attachment

The garden hose attachment allows you to effortlessly clean your mower of built up clippings and debris, improving the quality of each cut and the life of your mower.

Why Do All the Work When Your Mower Can Do It for You

Self-propelled mowers take much of the strain off the operator and are essential when cutting lawns over 1/3 of an acre, even more so when cutting lawns with varying terrain. There are two types of self-propelled lawn mowers, both of which can perform better than the other depending on your lawn.

Front Wheel Drive (FWD) mowers perform best with:

  • Large lawns with relatively flat terrain
  • Lawns with multiple obstacles where the operator has to change directions often

Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) mowers perform best with:

  • Varying terrains (multiple hills, valleys or slopes)
  • The clippings bag attached, as this adds weight over the rear wheels increasing traction in RWD models

Is Your Mower Deck Big Enough?

A mower deck is the housing in which the mower blade spins. Simply put, the larger the mower deck and blade, the larger strips cut with each pass and the fewer passes required in mowing a lawn. Smaller mower decks are advised for lawn with multiple obstacles tree, gardens, rocks & stones etc.

Push Button vs. Rip Cord, Ladies and Gentleman Start Your Mowers

More and more, walk-behind lawn mowers are being introduced with push button ignition. Take this into account when selecting a mower, because starting a cold mower can take multiple pulls of the ripcord where as a push button ignition is much easier on you.

Stay Safe with a Safety Handle

A safety handle ensures the mower stops when it is released. This option is essential in any mower to ensure your safety.

Don't Forget To Set the Cutting Height

The ability to adjust the height of your mower can reduce the number of times you cut your lawn per week, provide an even cut where terrain varies and improve the overall health of your lawn.
