Lowe’s Canada Heroes: Supporting Your Local Community

Lowe's Heroes

Lowe's Canada Heroes

Since our inception in Canada, Lowe's has actively supported various national and local
causes to help strengthen the communities in which we operate. But it's more than writing
cheques. It means lending a helping hand in times of need. We do that with the help of
Lowe's Canada Heroes.

Each year, Lowe's employees team up to provide hundreds of hours of support to local
communities as part of the Lowe's Canada Heroes employee volunteer program. The
store-wide program encourages employees to work together, adopt a volunteer project
with a local nonprofit organization or public school, and make a difference.

How you can help

Visit your local Lowe's Canada store from April 17th through May 14th,
2017 to donate $2 at checkout in support of the Lowe's Canada Heroes
program. One hundred per cent of all proceeds will stay in the community
and support a local cause. Lowe's Canada will match 50 per cent of all
funds raised through the in-store fundraising campaign up to a maximum of
$2,000 per store. The Lowe's Canada Heroes store-led community
improvement projects commence in June and run through November

At Lowe's, it's not just about home improvement. It's also about community

With Lowe's Canada Heroes,
We're Helping to

Build Stronger Communities.

Lowe's Canada Heroes have rolled up their sleeves to complete community improvement projects that included:

  • Redesigning and renovating the Belleville Salvation Army's kitchen, food prep area, and dining room spaces to increase efficiencies so that more meals could be provided to the community.
  • Building and delivering single step ramps for business store front entryways across the GTA to improve accessibility in our communities.
  • Completing an outdoor renovation project for Juliette's Place, a shelter for abused women and their children in Scarborough.
  • Repainting the YMCA Harbour House in Lethbridge to help update the facility.
  • Creating an outdoor living space for residents of True Davidson Acres in Scarborough.
