Fill guests with holiday spirit as soon as they walk in. It’s easy when you drape a dazzling pre lit artificial garland on the entry stairs and add the warm, safe glow of LED candles. Surround a bench with a modest-size Christmas tree, jingle-bell snowflakes and pretty gift wrap.
In your main living area, simply find the focal point and decorate around it. Here, symmetry shines on a big fireplace. We framed the hearth with two pre lit artificial Christmas trees and hung a wreath above the mantel. LED candles top it off with carefree colour – you don't have to light them, blow them out, or worry about dripping wax. On the floor, grapevine LED trees provide a modern counterpoint to the fireplace brick. This is a look that’s easy to re-create and embellish each year. Just add a few new pieces every Christmas.
Make the bed a haven of cozy calm by adding soft lighting. Use a cordless drill and basic hand tools to quickly hang a pair of wall-mount arm sconces and plug them into nearby receptacles. Use a needle and yarn to embroider the cloth shades with a simple design (such as leaves, stripes, or zigzags) that looks great during the holiday -- and beyond.
To create a temporary holiday display space, take the door off one cabinet, remove the shelves, and insert a new back panel — just staple red fabric to cardboard or foam core. Reinstall the shelves to hold the panel in place.
If guests can’t be there with bells on, you’ve got it covered with jingling mistletoe balls. They look great when hung from a chandelier. Pair the balls with a centrepiece that takes the cake — LED candles, an allen + roth berry wreath, and red-and-gold runner.
