Good little pump.
By Lowe's Guest from Concord, NC, USA on Apr 16, 2013
I had a water leak in the yard and had to dig a hole about 3 feet deep to find the line. The hole filled up with water from the ground around it. All said, the hole was 3'' wide x 6'' long x 3'' deep. This little pump got rid of the water in about 45 minutes. Just make sure to prime it and fill the intake hose with water and you should have no problems. I had a 5/8" x 50'' hose on the intake side.

Needs to be primed. Overheats and melts. Easier to use a bucket than this product.

Could not get it to work
By Lowe's Guest from Memphis, TN, USA on Dec 02, 2012
After following the directions for priming the unit I was still unable to get this thing to pump anything. Did not work at all!

Great for draining smaller amounts of water. Nice cheap product, make sure to keep water running through it while in use.

Good Product for the price
By Lowe's Guest from Summerville, SC on Sep 03, 2012
Needed an inexpensive suction pump to drain a water bed. Everything that I found for that purpose was in the sixties or eighties. the young lady at Lowes in Goose creek plumbing department suggested this product and it did exactly what I wanted, and it performed perfectly.

low quality, broke after 5 minutes
By Lowe's Guest from Orlando, FL, USA on May 29, 2012
I used this to pump transmission fluid. After 5 minutes it stopped working. It seems multiple rubber flaps inside the pump broke off.

good product and value for what it is intended for
By smitty from woodhaven, MI on Oct 20, 2011
I bought this pump specifically to drain a cut out in a parking lot for a deck. The deck is half built, but work has halted due to a soaking rain flooding the cut out. The pump worked wonderfully. I primed a 50 ft hose and the pump, and it began to pump immediately. When the flood water began to come out of the hose, I disconnected the pump and let the water siphon to a drain about 18" below the deck grade. I would recommend this to anyone. It''s a very inexpensive solution to siphon water.

Worked swimmingly!
By Jeff from Findlay, Ohio on Oct 04, 2011
My father had a pump like this many years ago and it worked flawlessly by my recollection. For draining a hot tub or waterbed this is the best tool for your money, in my opinion. I believe the people who had difficulty using this failed to connect it properly or failed to follow instructions. It''s not intended to move water up hill very far at all, but draining a hot tub is just the sort of job this thing is meant for. Exactly what I needed for an affordable price!
