Delivery Options
At Lowe's we're dedicated to delivering your purchase as quickly and affordably as possible. We offer a range of delivery and pick up options, so you can choose the shipping method that best meets your needs.
Free In-Store Pickup
You can place your order online and pick up your purchase within an hour, free!
Parcel Shipping
Parcel Shipping orders are shipped directly to your location via standard ground shipping.
Parcel shipping refers to shipments of qualifying packages:
- Orders are shipped by Standard ground shipping.
- Shipment will arrive 2-3 business days after the order has shipped for most destinations. Transit time may be longer to more remote addresses.
- Excludes Lowe’s truck delivery.
- Some items are not eligible for parcel shipping due to size, weight, or content. Some examples of this are large appliances, oversize items such as large pieces of lumber, flammable or hazardous items. Please see individual product pages for fulfillment options available.
Vendor-Direct Shipping
Vendor-Direct Shipping allows us to offer more variety and value with the same level of service as if your purchase was shipped directly by Lowe's. Items delivered via Vendor-Direct Shipping are sent straight from the vendor to your location at no extra expense.
Lowe's Truck Delivery
If the item you wish to purchase is available at your local (100 kms or less) Lowe's store, you can choose to have it delivered to your home by a Lowe's truck. This option is helpful with items too large or heavy for you to transport on your own. We'll contact you to schedule delivery.
Free In-store Pick Up
When you need your items fast, take advantage of our Free In-Store Pick Up Service. Choose the Pick Up in Store option at the online checkout and select your desired store location for pick up. Your item(s) will be available for pick up within 1 hour of placing your order on lowes.ca during normal store operating hours.* Browse our expanding selection of products from the comfort of your home, make your product selections, choose your store, then pop in to your Lowe’s store to pick up your complete order. Just bring your order confirmation or order number to the Customer Service desk at your Lowe’s store, show your ID and you are on your way!
Commercial customers can save precious work time with the convenience of
Lowes.ca too! Select your lumber, your nails and your hammer too! Make your payment online and then send one of your crew to pick up the order while you stay busy on the job site!
Make sure to check the store hours of your
selected store – especially around the holidays!
Remember… any item purchase online can be returned to any Lowe’s store
After your order has been placed, you will receive two (2) separate email notifications from Lowe's:
- Order Confirmation Notification– Verifies we've received your order
- Store Pick Up Notification email confirming your items(s) is ready for pickup.
Please bring the credit card used to make your purchase and a government issued ID when picking up your order.
When you arrive at the store, stop by the Service Desk for assistance with order pickup. To pick up your order you will be required to show your Store Pick Up Notification and your government issued photo ID. You will be required to sign an acknowledgment when you pick up your order.
NOTE: Please pick up your item(s) within 4 days of purchase.

Parcel Shipping
Parcel Shipping orders are shipped directly to the shipping address you have provided. Orders usually ship within 24-72 hours from the time your order is placed.
Orders are shipped by Standard ground shipping. Shipment will arrive 2-3 business days after the order has shipped for most destinations. Transit time may be longer to more remote addresses.
Delivery is Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm local time. If you are not home to accept delivery, a delivery notification card with further details will be issued. In some cases, smaller shipments made by courier may be left at your door.
Excludes Lowe’s truck delivery
Some items are not eligible for parcel shipping due to size, weight, or content. Some examples of this are large appliances, oversize items such as large pieces of lumber, flammable or hazardous items. Please see individual product pages for fulfillment options available
Delivery is typically to the front door of houses and the ground floor lobby of apartment and condominium buildings.
Some geographic service restrictions apply. In certain remote locations, delivery will be made to the courier's closest Pick-Up Centre from the shipment destination. Customers will be notified by telephone when shipments are available for pick-up.
Multiple items may be shipped separately due to size and may arrive at different times.
Purchases from lowes.ca can only be delivered to destinations within Canada; Standard shipping rates apply unless specified. Orders / Deliveries cannot currently be fulfilled to certain remote locations. Service to these locations will be added in the future.
Deliveries can only be made to locations with a street address or rural route number with postal code. We cannot deliver to PO boxes.
Order Tracking
If you choose Parcel Shipping as your shipping method, your order will be delivered by a third-party shipping provider who will offer order tracking service. This service will allow you to monitor your package as it makes its way to its final address.
When your order has shipped you will receive an e-mail shipping confirmation containing a tracking confirmation number.
You can check the status of your shipment in the following ways:
- Follow the instructions included in your shipping confirmation email to track your order through the carrier's website
- Contact a Lowe's customer service representative at 1-888-98-LOWES (56937)

Online Only Vendor-Direct Shipping
On-line only items are shipped to you directly from our Vendors. This allows us to offer more variety and value with the same level of service as if your purchase was shipped directly by Lowe's.
On each product page we display the Vendor's stated lead time, which refers to the time from their receipt of your order to when it's ready to ship to you. We do our best to provide you with accurate shipping times for these products.
The times are estimates only.
The "Ships In" time for our On-line Only Vendor-Direct Shipping items is provided to lowes.ca by each Vendor and is an estimate of the average number of business days it takes the Vendor to process your order and ship the item from their warehouse. These shipping times are not a guarantee.
On-line only products marked "In Stock" are items that the Vendor has provided us a real time inventory feed for. These items normally ship from their warehouse within two business days, however these products are
subject to prior sale and availability and lead times are not guaranteed.
Occasionally, Vendor-Direct items shown to be in stock or available get pre sold, in this case, you will be sent an email notification that your item is on backorder, you have the option to continue to wait for that item, cancel your order for a full refund, or select a different item to order.
Custom made products can have varying ship times and we recommend ordering custom products well in advance to avoid project delays.
Lowe's is not liable for costs associated with shipment delays.
Lowe's Truck Delivery
If you live within a Lowe's market (100km from a Lowe's Store) and the item requested is available at your local Lowe's store, you can choose to have it delivered to your home by a Lowe's truck.
This option is helpful with items too large or heavy for you to transport on your own.
Delivery rates are determined by the delivery address' distance from the store, rather than by the items weight.

*Some things to know:
Free shipping applies only to shipping addresses in Canada. Existing parcel shipment restrictions to remote locations may still apply. See Shipping Policy for more details.
Oversize items needing to be delivered via freight carriers and/or Lowe's Delivery items are not eligible for Free Shipping.
Product with pricing noted to already including shipping will not receive a discount.
Free shipping does not apply to the purchase of gift cards.
