HOW AND WHEN PARCEL SHIPPING ORDERS ARE SHIPPED AND DELIVERED

  • Parcel Shipping orders are shipped directly to the shipping address you have provided (we cannot ship to PO boxes at this time).
  • Orders ship via standard ground shipping usually within 1 business day from the time your order is placed.
  • Shipment will usually arrive 2-3 business days after the order has shipped for most destinations. Transit time may be longer to remote addresses.
  • Normally, shipment(s) are scheduled to arrive Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 5 pm local time.
  • If you are not home to accept your shipment, a shipping notification card with further details will be issued.
  • Smaller shipments made by courier may be left at your door.
  • Multiple items may be shipped separately due to size or availability and may arrive at different times.
  • Purchases from Lowes.ca can only be shipping to destinations within Canada; Standard shipping rates apply unless specified.
  • Orders / Shipments cannot currently be fulfilled to certain remote locations such as Yukon, NWT and Nunavut. Service to these locations may be added in the future.

Order Tracking

If you choose Parcel Shipping as your shipping method, your order will be delivered by a third-party shipping provider who will offer order tracking service. This service will allow you to monitor your package as it makes its way to its final address.

When your order has shipped you will receive an e-mail shipping confirmation containing a tracking confirmation number.

You can check the status of your shipment in the following ways:

  • Follow the instructions included in your shipping confirmation email to track your order through the carrier's website
  • Contact a Lowe's customer service representative at 1-888-98-LOWES (56937)

Online Only Vendor-Direct Shipping

  • On-line only items are shipped to you directly from our Vendors. This allows us to offer more variety and value with the same level of service as if your purchase was shipped directly by Lowe's.
  • On each product page we display the Vendor's stated lead time, which refers to the time from their receipt of your order to when it's ready to ship to you. We do our best to provide you with accurate shipping times for these products. The times are estimates only.
  • The "Ships In" time for our On-line Only Vendor-Direct Shipping items is provided to lowes.ca by each vendor and is an estimate of the average number of business days it takes the Vendor to process your order and ship the item from their warehouse. These shipping times are not a guarantee.
  • On-line only products marked "In Stock" are items that the Vendor has provided us a real time inventory feed for. These items normally ship from their warehouse within two business days, however these products are subject to prior sale and availability and lead times are not guaranteed.
  • Occasionally, Vendor-Direct items shown to be in stock or available get pre sold, in this case, you will be sent an email notification that your item is on backorder, you have the option to continue to wait for that item, cancel your order for a full refund, or select a different item to order.
  • Any item purchased online can be returned to any Lowe's Store. Please see our return policy for more details.
  • We recommend ordering custom products well in advance to avoid project delays.
  • Purchases from Lowes.ca can only be shipping to destinations within Canada; Standard shipping rates apply unless specified.

Lowe's Truck Delivery

If your home or job site is within 100km of a Lowe's Store and the item requested is available at your local Lowe's store, you can choose to have it delivered to you by a Lowe's truck. This option is helpful with items too large or heavy for you to transport on your own.

Minimum $75 delivery charge:

Lowe's charges $75 for delivery - additional charges may apply depending on the actual distance from the fulfilling store's location.*

Delivery rates are determined by the delivery address' distance from the store, rather than by the item weight.

We will generally contact you within 1 to 2 days to schedule your delivery.

Delivery service to most areas is available to our customers seven days a week during normal store hours. Due to limited storage capacity we require you take delivery within 30 days of your purchase.

Curb side delivery service provides delivery of your item(s) to the curb at the end of your driveway. This service does not include set up or assembly of items or removal of packaging materials.

All Lowe's truck deliveries are curb side only with exception of large appliances (fridges, freestanding ranges, dishwashers, washers and dryers).

The delivery team will install or hook up any* major appliance you purchase online at the point of delivery such as:

  • Free-standing Ranges
  • Refrigerators
  • Washers/Dryers

*The delivery team cannot install or hook up items such as:

  • Over-the-range microwaves
  • Dishwashers, drop-in ranges
  • Air Conditioners
  • Water Heaters
  • Wall Ovens
  • Surface Units
  • Cook Tops

Such items will be delivered, but require a certified tradesman to complete the installation.

Roofing shingles cannot be delivered to rooftop.

Lowe's also offers a rental truck program in select stores. This is a great way to take your merchandise home today. Learn More or contact your local store for availability and details.

*$75 for up to 50km radius and additional charges of $1 per 2 km may apply beyond that up to our maximum delivery radius of 100km.

FREE IN-STORE PICK UP

  • When you need your items fast, take advantage of our Free In-Store Pick Up Service.
  • Choose the Pick Up in Store option at the online checkout and select your desired store location for pick up.
  • Your item(s) will be available for pick up within 1 hour of placing your order on Lowes.ca during normal store operating hours.
  • The following products may take up to 24 hours: lumber and garden stone (patio block & stones, retaining wall block, edging stones) - please wait for your "order is ready for pickup" email to arrive.
  • Commercial customers can save precious work time with the convenience of Lowes.ca too!
  • Make sure to check the store hours of your selected store - especially around the holidays.

After your order has been placed, you will receive two (2) separate email notifications from Lowe's:

  • Order Confirmation Notification-Verifies we've received your order
  • Store Pick Up Notification email confirming your item(s) is ready for pickup.

What to bring to the Customer Service Desk at your Lowe's store when picking up your order:

  • Your order confirmation or order number
  • The credit card used to make your purchase
  • A government issued ID
  • You will be required to sign an acknowledgment when you pick up your order.

For your protection, orders can only be released to the customer who placed the order. We cannot allow anyone to pick up an order on your behalf.

PLEASE NOTE: We recommend that you pick up your item(s) within 4 days of purchase. If this is not possible, please contact your local Lowe's store. If your item(s) are not picked up, they will be refunded and placed back onto the shelf.
