Performed better than expected!
By Your Name from Location on Jan 05, 2015
Used this snow thrower twice so far; first time on 5 cm of fluffy snow, second time on 5 cm of wet snow. This thrower worked well both times and cleared my driveway in 15 mins (I have a long but narrow driveway). I didn't expect it to work that well on wet heavy snow, but it did! You need to push the machine a little bit to get the work done but it is not an issue as this machine is light. I hope it will work equally well for even thicker snow. Highly recommended for light to medium snowfall!

Only used once and not impressed!
By TimP from Edmonton AB on Jan 01, 2015

Well, finally got to use it after getting it onsale at Lowes, On the 5th of December 2014 we got 30+ cm of the white stuff here in Edmonton AB and like everyone else, this thing just spits out the snow about 3 - 4 feet and does not even shoot it straight out(like the video they use here on Lowes to demonstrate, I wish it did that), even after adjusting the chute several times it did not matter. As someone stated, it would not knock down the whole row, had to take off a top layer and then put it level on the ground to get the rest. Fortunately my driveway and walk way are not big enough to worry, can clean up after with a shovel easily. The battery had just barely finished the job before it died about the 40 min mark. But it did clean right down to the concrete when tilted downward and pushed along! It also cleaned off our deck (28 ft X 14 ft) pretty good, except didn't throw the snow high enough to clear the top rail line and accumulated around the rails base, then had to shovel over. I guess I will keep it and still use it, but now I know what to expect and it's not whats in the SnowJoe training video!

Used this unit twice now
By Doug C. from Hamilton, Ontario on Dec 14, 2014
Casual Do-It-Yourselfer
Quite impressed the second time even more than the first time I used it.

Cleaned right to the pavement old snow blower could not do this.

Handled the crusty ice and slush

Definitely a smart purchase

Very little noise battery held charge well did my property and 2 neighbour's as well and still had battery life.

Unit is small enough to handle with virtually no effort.

I was skeptical even after the first use but now I am sold.

I am a previous owner of 2 work horse blowers previously but they take up dome much garage space, run out if gas, are noisy and hard to manipulate and do not clean to the pavement.

They sold me a dud
By Alex from Vaughan on Dec 14, 2014
Casual Do-It-Yourselfer
After lengthy research, I decided to buy a cordless Snow Joe. In my area, only Lowe's of Woodbridge still had a unit in stock. I went there and saw it actually was the display unit. With some trepidation, I purchased it and found out the next morning that it was a dud. With the battery fully charged, it would not start. I took it back to the Woodbridge store almost immediately. Nobody apologized or try to make amends. Of course they gave me a refund, but I was not impressed with they way they handled it. Unfortunately, my worries about buying a display unit proved to be justified..

Terrible product!
By Justin from Calgary, AB on Dec 08, 2014
I used it twice. Once when there was less than an inch of snow on my driveway. This snow blower picked up snow and dropped it 2 inches to my right. The second time, there was about 3 inches of snow. It still can’t throw the snow and just dumps it on my feet. I tried the highest and lowest setting of the chute and it didn’t make much difference. The battery was fully changed both times I used it.
Every 3 feet or so, I can’t push it forward anymore due to snow piling up in front of the snow blower. So I have to lift the front of the snow blower and run it over the top of the pile, and take some snow off the top of the pile, then pull it back and try to push it again.

I tried to return it Lowe’s 2 weeks later because they had the policy of 30 day return for outdoor power equipment. They would not accept it because they recently changed the policy to accept returns only if it’s unused.

Not worth the money
By Sylvia from Edmonton on Nov 28, 2014

This unit packed the snow causing at least a 2 inch buildup on the sidewalk. This resulted in my having to do double duty scraping and chipping away at the packed messed. The unit did not BLOW the snow it just lifted it through the shute and dumped it on the machine causing even more of a mess.

Would not recommend this unit. Returned it after one use.

This should have never made it to the market
By Shadid H. from Kitchener, ON on Nov 26, 2014
It claimed to throw snow up to 25 feet but I expected it to throw 12 feet. But the reality was it barely threw it 2 feet away. Also the shoot constantly gets clogged with snow and gets 100% blocked every minute. And I did not use it on wet snow at all. I can only imagine how much worse it will be for wet snow.

Bring on the snow
By Lowe's Guest from Easton, PA, USA on Aug 22, 2014
This has been a long road to get here. I ordered one of these last year and after 2 delays Lowe''s seen fit to cancel my order even though the manufacture had some in stock. How do I know, I called them. So as the summer was winding down I kept watching Lowe''s website for this SnowJo. When I seen they had it in stock I couldn''t order it fast enough. I can''t wait for snow this year. I have decided to keep my 14" electric snow blower as it is one snow eating machine. I figure I will keep it for any heavy snow we might get that the SnowJo can''t handle.
