Ease of USE & great pricing
By Patrick Bouchardy from Montreal on Mar 13, 2014
I bought this cordless snowblower from Lowes this winter (2014).
We got 15cm yesterday March 12th, Light snow.
it is perfect with light snow up to 10cm.
Over 10cm, you have to be careful on how you are using it, still works like a charm.
Was fed up of shoveling.
Battery is an issue. Lasts from 35 minutes to 45 minutes.
We own a Triplex in Montreal.
Good enough to do front of the house, parking for one car and most of alley around the house.
Will buy an extra battery for 25cm + snowstorms of next year.

Perfect Solution

Don't want to fiddle with gas cans ,weight and putting the beast away for the summer!,so this is the
First thought Snow Joe would be good to clear what was just necessary, wrong, can clear most everything
you have to be realistic and chop up the heavy stuff and watch out for chunks of ice,but wow it just eats it up.
Battery lasts longer than I thought and takes about max 2hours to charge.
Customer Support is terrific as well quick call back and questions answered.
We are in a rural situation and ask a lot of this equipment, and can not be more pleased.

The evolution of snow blowing!
By TraderCanada from Markham, ON on Feb 19, 2014
Casual Do-It-Yourselfer
I've been using an electric blower the last several years and get tired of hauling around the cord, especially at the end of our driveway where the cord always pops out of the socket in our garage. In looking for a replacement, I didn't want a maintenance-laden gas blower and didn't want a corded blower again.

I decided to give this unit a try and it has not disappointed. Went through 10-15cm of snow on February 18, 2014 with no problems. The battery only lasted 30 minutes but it was probably because of the higher snow levels than the unit is specified. Nevertheless it performed fantastic and I am very happy with the purchase. I just recharged and went back out later in the day again for several minutes to finish up.

Of course, the leftovers from the snow plow at the end of the driveway were tough for this unit to get through, however, because I am no longer bounded by the cord I was able to snow blow our side of the the street alongside our driveway where the city snow plow typically comes, thereby lessening the buildup when the city plow eventually came.

Highly recommend!

Great, easy snowplowing machine
By retired from Toronto, ON on Feb 14, 2014
The company we hired to plow took our money but never showed up so after shoveling 3 long months I saw this on your web site on Mon. Feb. 3, a cordless, 40V snow blower! Listed for same price as American sites even though Cdn $ is way lower, so I ordered it that day and it was delivered FREE the very next day, Tues. Feb.4. The UPS fellow brought it into the house for me and hubby put it together that day, and in no time, no problem, as a big storm was expected the following day. Storm hit, 28 cm and we figured this could not plow through that, but Snow Joe cordless did it! Great product and hopefully the property services company who scammed us get blown away. Snow Joe can do the job better and cheaper. Great job on the product, price and delivery: ordered, delivered, used in 3 days, thank you Lowes!

Snow Blowing Nut
By Gale Nahs from Colorado on Feb 08, 2014
Avid Do-It-Yourselfer
At first, I had some reservations about its blowing ability. This was when we had a very light snow. Recently, we had a 4" storm and this blower was great! I have a 160 ft drive and a single charge lasted for the drive, sidewalk and our deck! I cleaned it all in 35 min. and faster then my 27" 2-stage gas blower. The berm left by the road grader slowed it down some but with some back and forth movements, I got it cleared out. I even have to do that with my big gas blower. This blower seems to work better with over 2" of snow. I am sure it will handle 6" depths if it is not real wet stuff.

Our First Battery Powered Snow Blower
By Carl from Ajax on Feb 07, 2014
Very Impressed with its power..Very light weigh..

This is perfect for the lighter stuff, its first job was to clear 10 inches of the fluffy stuff that was left in -10 to -15 degree weather for about 8 hours so wasnt as fluffy and soft by the time I got to it..nevertheless it threw that stuff about 6-8 feet high and 10-15 feet away.. I have a 4 car driveway, got it cleared completely, and I got about 45 minutes of run time with it after a full charge.

Expensive, even getting 10% off combined with $50 Price reduction, went on sale 2 days after I bought it, I paid about $360 after tax.. for that Price, it should have come with 2 batteries, instead of just one.

Very 'plasticky'.. Materials should have felt a little bit toughter, but thats subjective.. meaning I'm not sure how it will hold up over time..

The Shoot at its lowest position still sticks up way too high..

Could have easily been a 5 star rating, save for the Shoot, material and single battery.. my $0.02

Great For Decks and Walks
By Lowe's Guest from Holland, MI, USA on Feb 04, 2014
In West ichigan we have had record snowfalls in Jan. 2014. I could not keep up with cleaning my 20 foot x 30 foot raised deck. For 3 weeks now, I have used this blower daily, and it has met or exceeded my expectations. The rubber paddles do not mar my wood deck and do a good job cleaning down to the surface. The batter charges in about 2 hours after a complete discharge. Moves light dry snow up to 8 inches very well. No experience with wet heavy snow yet. The battery lasts about 40 minutes with 4 inch light snow ( pleanty of time to do my deck and walks. Rubber paddles and lower scrape bar are replacable, which is good. Unit has a convenient lifting handle makes it convenient to move the 30 pound unit up and down my deck stairs. The motorized chute control is geat! The chute tilt is manual and not well engineered to stay in a selected position. If they re-ingineered the chute tilt to have a smoother curved arch and selectable notches to stay in place, I would give this unit a five star rating. Not up to large driveway with deep snow.

Turned a Skeptic into a Believer
By Linda D. from Brantford, ON on Feb 03, 2014
Casual Do-It-Yourselfer
I read every review of this product before I purchased it, and was beginning to think it's too good to be true. I was very skeptical about purchasing a battery operated snowblower, but did not want to mess with an electrical cord, or spend a fortune for a electic start gas blower. As a female senior citizen, I don't have the ability to do a pull start, especially if it does not start on the first pull.

I have used this blower 4 times so far. Tested it on the back deck first, and it worked like a champ. The big test came with a fairly deep snowfall. I did as recommended and went out and blew the drive and walkway before it was too deep - about 5 inches. The snow was light and fluffy and flew through the chute with no problem. Took a third of the time compared to shovelling. That same day I did a second pass to take off what had continued to fall. Again no problem. (I know it says 2 1/2 - 3 hours charging, but mine has never taken more than 1 1/2 hrs)

Two days later another snowfall, but this one was heavy snow, and then it started to rain. I went out and did the drive and walkway, and it was a little harder going, and the show did not throw as far, but did the job with no problem. Just pushed a little slower feeding the heavier snow. This blower is light enough that it can be pushed with ease.

Personally I love it. Agree it is pricey, but I guess if you want the latest in technology first, you wind up paying for it. It has saved my back, and I think it is worth the price when it works well. I plan on keeping it.
