Your roof protects one of the largest investments you'll
ever make, as well as your belongings. It can also enhance
your home's curb appeal and resale value. You want to be
sure it will last a long time. And because it can comprise
up to 50% of your home's exterior, you want it to look good, too. To get an installation as great as the roofing shingles you select, choose Lowe's.
Let's Get Started
- Browse your local Lowe's store to select your shingles. Lowe's
offers several shingle products for you to choose from. You can choose from shake-like or slate-like appearances and several others. Ask a trained
Specialist which shingle type is best for the style of your home.
- Select your warranty. All shingle products that Lowe's carries come with one of
the finest warranties available.
- Schedule an on-site visit, where your installer will measure your roof space to ensure an accurate fit. (A deposit is required for this measurement that will be credited toward your roofing installation project purchase.)
- Select your accessories. Your roof is more than just shingles. It's a complete
system that also requires hip and ridge shingles, ventilation, and water-resistant underlayment products. Each of these elements plays an important role in
protecting your home, and they work together to ensure the beauty and
durability of your roof.
- Your installer will call you to arrange a convenient time
to schedule an appointment.
On The Job
The installation of your new roof† includes the following:
- The basic removal and haul-away of one layer of existing roofing material,
including shingles, felt, venting, drip edge and flashing. If more layers exist, additional fees may apply.
- Installation for standard pitches on single-story structures.
Some pitches may carry an additional charge.
- Loading material onto the roof, removing and replacing low profile and turbine vents, and installing the felt, drip edge, vent flashing, and ice and water shield.
- Clean up once the job is done.
† Lowe’s performs complete roof installations only. No patching or installing shingles over existing shingles.
