Although installation varies by the type of door and coordinating accessories you choose, the initial process remains the same.
- To learn more about buying doors, please stop by the store to pick up a free copy of your how-to guide for replacing your home's doors.
- When you are ready to purchase your door, visit Lowe's, where a trained Specialist is waiting to help you. Your Specialist will help you select the perfect door for your project.
- Purchase your door and installation services together. For Special Order doors, a detail measurement fee is required to verify measurements.
- Schedule an in-home visit, where your installer will measure your doors to ensure an accurate fit. (A deposit is required for this measurement that will be credited toward your door installation project purchase.)

- Your installer will call you to schedule your appointment.
On The Job
Your installer will:
- Arrange delivery of your new door.
- Remove existing door.
- Install your door in same size square opening.
- Install existing or new hardware (supplied by customer).
- Caulk or insulate as required.
- Replace existing or install new moulding (supplied by customer).
- Test to ensure proper operation.
- Clean-up jobsite.
- Haul away old door. (Dump fees may apply)
