We handle the details
All Lowe's deck installations are performed to local building code
* and basic installation includes:
- Digging and pouring footers and installing posts.
- Constructing deck frame, free-standing or attached to your
home, with joists 16 in. (40.46 cm) on centre.
- Installing decking board perpendicular to flooring joist.
- Installing standard picket railings. Custom railings are available.
- Up-front pricing, which includes materials, permit (if required), delivery fees,
clean-up and dumping fees.
- Upgrades available for items such as railing styles
or increased deck heights at additional fees.
*When planning your deck, check deed restrictions, building codes
and/or zoning bylaws for compliance. Also, check with local utility
companies to ensure deck construction will not disturb piping
or wiring.

- Schedule an on-site visit, where your installer will measure your deck space to ensure an accurate fit. (A deposit is required for this measurement that will be credited toward your deck installation project purchase.)
- All you need to do is choose your design and materials. Lowe’s will take care of all the details.
- Your Installer will help you with all necessary information for you to arrange for a building permit, if required. Your Installer will also advise you on when inspections will be necessary during all stages of construction. Ask your Installer for more information regarding permits during your on-site measurement.
- Have your installer schedule your installation.
- Clean up once the job is done.
