Best dishwasher i have owned
By Lowe's Guest from Maine on Jun 29, 2014
This is the second time I have purchased this model of dishwasher. Put one in my previous house, then moved. When my new home''s Frigidaire died, I was happy to replaced it with one I already knew and trusted. I was happy to know one I had already bought that was great. My only negative comment is that ALL dishwashers are overpriced.

So quiet we weren''t even sure it was on!
By Lowe's Guest from Bend, OR, USA on Mar 01, 2014
They were very patient with us and got us what we wanted. The delivery and installation guys are great. They do a good job and have always been able to answer our questions. As far as rating quality, it''s a little since we''ve only had it a week. We''ll let you know!

What a dishwasher
By Paul Jaques from Richmond Hill on Feb 28, 2014
2 weeks after I bought this dishwasher the top rack would skreach as you pulled it out. We bought the extended warranty so put in a call that something was wrong. The tech came out and said it was a very poor design that the wheels were fixed with no bearings. But ordered a new set of tracks for the upper rack. They were ok for a very short time (about a week) and it started again, so we placed the call and they replaced the tracks again. At this time I received a call from Jacques from the warranty company telling me I needed to be more gentle with the top rack so this did not happen again. I called back as this upset me, I asked to speak with him they said they would give him the message and he would call with in 48 hours to this day still have not heard from him. This time the new racks made more noise then the old ones. The tech. placed an order for another set of tracks.
About this time we are contacted by the extended warranty company of Lowe's and told this part is not covered and non of the repairs should have been done. They only cover mechanical and electrical. I call the repair shop and asked what they would call the issue, considering there are wheels and tracks. They said it was mechanical, the warranty company said they would replace the parts one more time out of the goodness of their heart and if that did not fix the issue then there was nothing they would do. The parts were replaced and the new parts again were worse the tech had difficulties even opening the top rack and the wheels would get stuck and not roll and made a horrible noise. We spoke to the warranty company just this week and were told they would replace the tracks again but this was definitely the last time and a manager would call us with in 4 business hours, that was 3 days ago. When kitchen aid was contacted about the issue they said there was no problem and what they have is what you get. So I would not buy Kitchenaid or from lowe's plus the warranty has not served us well. We use to be very pro Lowe's buying lawnmower, snowblower, pressure washer, dishwasher, fridge, stove and garage door opener to name a few. But no more

Manufacturer Warranty Very Well Covered
By Thomas from Kitchener on Jan 13, 2014
Casual Do-It-Yourselfer
There's no worries to buy a dishwasher from KitchenAid. The manufacturer warranty is great. For the 1st year it covers everything. Year 2 - 5 covers nylon dish racks and electronic controls (dish racks breaking seems to be the #1 complaint on here and it's covered for 5 years! They send a serviceman to your house, very convenient). Lifetime warranty on stainless steel tub and inner door liner. A few people complained about water leaking near the door. That would be a door liner problem and would be covered for life! All stated in the Warranty Contract which you can download online. One thing that could contribute to water leaking at the front is if the dishwasher is not set-up level. I see no reason to worry buying a KitchenAid with such a great warranty. If you find a good sale on it, grab it! Also, I know someone that has a Bosch and there's problem with mildew along the liner. Their drying technology doesn't use an electric heating element, so it takes longer to dry and one of the largest complaints for the mid-level Bosch compared to this one is that the Bosch doesn't dry well. My friends Bosch also starts smelling when not used for a few days, probably because not dried well and still moist inside for days. I would go KitchenAid for nice electrical element drying to get it done right. It might cost slightly more on hydro but at least its done right. Also, KitchenAid's heating element is lowered and tucked in nicely to minimize plastics touching it. I'm not sure if the Bosch in this price range has a food grinder. Some people were saying it doesn't. Some people also complained that this KitchenAid doesn't have a rinse button feature. However, the manual says this is not a necessary feature when there's a food grinder. Any unrinsed food would get grinded and no problems. Also, one small but very important detail is the led lights on KitchenAid showing what process of the cycle it's in. When clean, it remains green and stays that way until fully shut by clicking the door in (don't need to fully shut until you empty it). This is a wonderful feature as we all know human nature is to not empty it right away and the number one question around a dishwasher is "are the dishes clean or dirty?" I didn't see that feature on Bosch models. I wouldn't even bother with paying for an extended warranty with the retail store you buy it from, as the manufacturer warranty is excellent for KitchenAid!

So far I love it
By Lowe's Guest from jackson, ms on Oct 09, 2013
Great unit so far. Absolutely quiet and cleaned better than our old ge unit. The only minor negative is there is a bit of moisture left in the unit at the end on the sides and bottom but that is common to newer more energy efficient dishwashers. However, there was little to no moisture left on our dishes and they were very clean. I can finally sleep while this one is running where as my old one kept me awake.

Needs better brackets
By Lowe's Guest from Southport, NC on Sep 26, 2013
Over all this dishwasher offers all the features you would want or need. Build appears to be slightly cheaper than Bosch or Samsung but neither of those two offer hard food disposal or heat coil. Pricing is similar. Installation fairly straight forward but mounting brackets are cheesy, not that the dishwasher is going anywhere. In a nutshell we are satisfied. BTW, specifications say no adjustment of top rack but it does have an adjustable rack on top. We don''t use this often but definitely comes in handy.

Great dishwasher
By Lowe's Guest from North Andover, MA, USA` on Jun 25, 2013
This washer works great, but has a strange upper rack. Our glasses don''t stand very well in place and sometimes tip over when I go to load it up with more stuff. Maybe I''m doing something wrong, but I''ve never had a problem with that in any other dishwasher. Otherwise, everything gets cleaned very well. No leaking at all as reported by others. I feel like that''s a direct connection to the installer, not the machine! We used a local professional, not Lowes, for install.
