STEP-BY-STEP

1. Sand, prime, and paint a flat slab door, allowing each coat to dry.

2. Measure and lightly mark on the door the dimensions of your moulding sections. We made two framed sections on each door: the top one measuring 16 x 37 inches and the bottom measuring 16 x 28 inches.

3. Miter cut the moulding to fit your frame dimensions. Sand, prime, and paint the moulding pieces; allow each coat to dry. Attach the moulding pieces to the door with 4d nails. Fill nail holes with wood filler, and touch up the paint as needed.

Step 5

4. Measure inside each frame, adding a couple of inches to the length and width. Lightly mark those dimensions on the wallpaper with the pattern centred, and then cut each piece of wallpaper. Affix the wallpaper pieces to the door using wallpaper paste. Smooth and remove wrinkles with a damp sponge.

Step 3

5. Trim the excess using a utility blade.
